Rosie paints in oil and acrylic from a limited palette of contrasting notes. Paintings normally begin with drawings from observations and sometimes these end up as intimate portrays of life and landscapes, where children and domestic objects spill out into colourful planes.
“I am interested in capturing the experience of seeing and feeling that moment. Sometimes it is fleeting, other times it is a deep-rooted memory yet to be revealed. When you get it right it’s like a wonderful piece of music to be unravelled.”
