“What becomes of the dreams of children?” Artist Residency 2007-2012

Rosie raised her young family in North Kensington and practiced from her studio at ACAVA. In 2007 she began her project and residency, “What becomes of the dreams of children?” Working alongside teachers she created art classes to enrich the curriculum subject matter of Martin Luther King. She collected the secret dreams of children, staff and visitors in a site-specific piece of art that went into a group show at The Optician Gallery in Hoxton. The piece eventually was reassembled into a relief painting – “Seams”. The project acts as a window into the lives and dreams of the school community at that time.
